Education in South Africa is in a state of crisis. But you knew that already, didn't you? The thing though
is what to do about it?
Knowledge4Africa is a non-profit organisation established in March 2004 as one family's attempt to
change what we can. So far we have helped half a million learners and their teachers by providing the
best quality interactive worksheets on the Internet.
We have promised that this will always be free.
The majority of learners in South Africa, and indeed in the 3rd World, are disadvantaged and do not have
1st World resources.
To charge people to use our site would, therefore, negate our goals, for we would then be providing yet
another resource to those who have the means to purchase it while disqualifying those who do not.
|
However, it costs a minimum of R500 to produce just one set of worksheets. A mere ten sets would cost
in the region of R5,000. What family can afford to do that alone?
If our interactive worksheets have helped you in any way, wouldn't you like to help create more by joining
our Knowledge4Africa Community? (Mouse over here to see what you will gain by doing so.)
By joining our Knowledge4Africa Community, you would gain two things:
First, the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping tens of thousands of learners and their teachers both
within South Africa and across the Third World.
Second, we will put you on our mailing list to receive a free copy of our historical e-magazine, The
Time Traveller, which will be delivered to your mailbox every quarter.
In addition to this, if you are prepared to sponsor just R500 or more per annum, your name will go up on
our Roll of Honour.
|
Please consider joining our Knowledge4Africa Community and become involved in this exciting project.
What can you afford per month? R50? R100? R500? R1,000 or more? You decide.
But don't forget to tell us who you are so we'll know to whom we are speaking.
PayPal unfortunately does not currently quote in South African currency. If, however, you would prefer
to contribute by means of a direct transfer to a South African bank,
